§ 2.76.050. Membership.

The commission shall consist of nine members to be appointed by county council. All members shall be drawn from the county at large including the incorporated areas. The terms of office of the members shall be three years, except that, of the initial members, five shall be appointed for a term of three years and four shall be appointed for a term of two years to be decided by lot. The Colleton County solid waste recycling coordinator shall be an ex-officio member.

If a vacancy occurs, the county council shall fill the vacancy by appointment for the unexpired term.

Members of the commission shall serve without compensation.
